➀Purpose
Since dirt inside the internal piping of molding machines and temperature control units is not visible from the outside,
problems are often only noticed when symptoms such as “reduced flow rate” or “difficulty reaching the target temperature” appear, leading to a tendency to take corrective action too late.
Therefore, we aimed to improve heat exchange efficiency by self-cleaning the interior of water pipes (in molds, cooling towers, temperature controllers, etc.)
and eliminating clogs, thereby reducing molding defects caused by temperature inconsistencies.
②Key Points for Implementation
We selected JS Cleaner (JS1 & JS2), a mold cleaning solution manufactured by Jinsei Plus.
・Since it is biodegradable, wastewater treatment after cleaning is simple.
・No neutralization step is required after cleaning, reducing the workload.
・No capital investment is required; with just the cleaning solution and a pump, in-house self-cleaning is possible.
This has enabled us to establish an environment where internal cleaning can be performed safely, easily, and at low cost.
③Examples
Previously, cleaning was performed only “after molding defects occurred,” but
with the introduction of the JS Cleaner, we are now able to perform regular cleaning before problems arise.
This allows us to maintain stable temperature control and productivity without placing a strain on the equipment.
④Results
This eliminates the reduction in heat exchange efficiency caused by dirt buildup in the pipes, resulting in a maximum efficiency improvement of 20%.
Furthermore, by reducing the load on the equipment, it also helps lower operating costs, such as electricity bills.
